SUMMARY:MACCE Speaker Series 03/6/2020
DESCRIPTION:Join us at our next Speaker Series meeting on Friday\, March 6th\, as we hear from Tegin Teich\, Executive Director of the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).\n\n\n\nThe Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization is responsible for conducting the federally required metropolitan transportation planning process for the Boston metropolitan area. The MPO uses this process to develop a vision for transportation in the region and to decide how to allocate federal and state transportation funds to transportation programs and projects that improve roadway\, transit\, bicycle\, and pedestrian infrastructure.\n\n\n\nEach community in the state has an MPO doing similar work. Ms. Teich will share with us how the MPO's function and how we as Chamber execs can work with our MPO to ensure that our regions and municipalities are well represented and receive their fair share of federal funding for needed transportation projects.
